Comment: I've been playing a lot of this type of game recently, and this one stands out from the rest in many ways. Quality, artwork, acting, puzzles, plot, length of game play etc. are all noticeably better than average. Easily worth three times the price!!

It seemed to take me forever to finish it, but that was ok.
There were some pretty tough puzzles (which can be skipped). Great graphics! Good story.

Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed this game, ( I am deployed) and was stuck in the airport for over a day, and I spent most of that time playing this game.. I really liked this game a lot.
-The storyline is different then most games, but very interesting.
-the graphics are beautiful, the designers put a lot of time and effort into this game and you can see that in every aspect.
-the music is good, goes well with the game.
Maybe the ending was not as interesting as I thought it would be, I wish they would make more of a adult themed game, the little movies they had added more of a twist..

As you can tell I really liked this game, if you are into adventure/mystery/HOB don't even think twice about purchasing this! And for the price of the game download its well worth it!!!! I know you will have just as much fun as me playing it, I guarantee it!

Summary: Wow, I wasn't expecting such a great game!
Comment: After demoing some of the other Mystery Case Files games, and finding out that they were search-and-find games, slightly like I Spy, I decided that they weren't really for me. But after hearing that this game had slightly more of an adventure game feel to it, I decided to buy it and give it a go. This is is breakdown of the game:

Story - You are driving in your car when a snowstorm keeps you from going on. YOu get out to try to find a phone, but instead you find an abandoned car with a VHS in it. You watch the VHS and see a terrified girl trying to escape something. You set out to find this girl and see if she can help you, but you discover a much more sinister mystery while looking for her. . .

Gameplay - The gameplay is so unique in this game, and it is SO fun. Most of the time, it's a third person adventure game that has you going around solving puzzles, collecting items, and using these items to interact with other items. However, there are also search-and-find scenes throughout the game that have you find 12 objects in a picture (no time limit) and keep one of those items to put in your inventory. There are quite a few of these, making the game a great mixture of both styles of games. And there are even a few horror elements in the game, too, as there are a few pop-outs that may startle you, but they probably won't give you nightmares. As a final note, there are also more VHS tapes to find and collect throughout the game that help the story move along, and this was a nice part of the gameplay.

Graphics - The graphics for the most part were really well done. They were kind of a realistic/cartoon/3D fusion, which sounds really weird, but let me just say that were were awesome to look at. The VHS tapes, however, are acted out by real people, and this isn't really part of graphics, but it's a great part of the game. The videos are chilling, and the actors act out the story so well; it's almost like watching a movie.

Sound - The sounds were chilling. You might hear a footstep behind you, or a whisper, and they are very good indeed. The music is very enjoyable to listen to. It's tense, sad, and spooky all at the same time. There isn't really voice acting except for the actors in the VHS tapes, and like I said, that was wonderful.

Fun - This game gets addicting more towards the middle, but the beginning is definitely NOT a disappointment. The fact that it's a combination of hidden object casual gaming and mysterious adventure gaming makes it an extremely interesting and fun game.

Replay Factor - There is definitely replay value in this game as the hidden objects in this game are constantly changing, so each time you play the game again, you have new objects to find. The story is interesting enough to play again, as well.

Overall, this is one of the best games I have ever played due to the fact of the fusion of styles that this game has. It is definitely worth a try even if you haven't been a fan of the earlier MCF games, and I highly recommend this game.
